The Game and British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran announced this week that they are working on a new album together. In a recent MTV interview, the rapper explained that he and Sheeran are planning a possible double-disc set, expected to drop either late this year or early next year.

“That is gonna be crazy,” Game said. “Ed came up with the idea to start working on a joint album, and we started doing it. That was like in five hours. We was just going…He’s a genius man, so when he does that, what comes out of me is songs like ‘Dreams’ and ‘Hate It or Love It’ and ‘My Life.’ They’re real songs, and I can’t wait for people to hear ’em.”

Game went on to talk about how they had met, mentioning a conversation they had on Twitter. “He tweeted something about ‘Jesus Piece’, I responded, we exchanged numbers on the DM, and then we got in the studio. We were just planning to record one song; we ended up doing like seven.” Currently, both artists are preparing their own albums. Sheeran is soon releasing X which is his second studio album, and The Game is prepping the release of Blood Moon, a compilation from his ‘Blood Money Entertainment’ label imprint.
