Susanoo Tsukuyomi Is Inspired By Japanese Culture

The name Susanoo is based off of the Japanese Shinto gods of summer storms and the moon is a producer who resides in southern California. The San Diego artist learned a great deal about music production while he lived in Japan. Jumping into the culture as DJ first, he immersed himself into music production and became known for his soulful hip hop and r&b instrumentals. Susanoo’s beats are unique, and his musical style is not catered to one genre of music. It incorporates many different elements together which creates his SuSo or “SummerSound”.

“A highlight of my musical career is the completion of my second beat tape Summer of Made Love. A huge amount of time and energy went into creating the project,” he reveals. Susanoo’s latest release is titled MMS that was received well among the online community. Now’s he’s currently working on a hip hop EP with artist John Stacey, a collaboration beat tape with a fellow producer and friend Dr. Rick Boswell.
