F.Y.D Entertainment LLC and T.T. Hanco Records, LLC presents Marcus Hancock, Soncier, who was born in Fortbragg, North Carolina on December 7, 1987. As a child he bounced back between Washington DC and Maryland spending his teenage years in Suitland, Maryland. Originally from Ohio, he grew up in a single parent household until he returned to Maryland to live with his father. At the tender age of 11 Soncier began to develop a passion for poetry while living in Maryland and adopted PG County as his new home.

He began to write raps at age 14. However, a tragedy soon inspired him to become the artist known as the “Hero of Hip Hop.” Soncier survived a fatal stabbing that nearly left him paralyzed at the age of 17. His near death experienced changed him forever. He began to rap more seriously shortly after and started recording demos with childhood friend Noya Merolin.

Given a second chance to walk, Soncier vowed to live every moment sharing his testimony and making positive music. Since then, Soncier has gained radio play and performed locally around the DMV area and won numerous showcases. Now an owner of his own entertainment company, F.Y.D., he has 3 indie albums, 2 mixtapes, and 2 singles under his belt.
