Ras Rebel, A Great Reggae Voice


Coming out of Southern Cali, Ras Rebel is an ever-evolving international selling reggae artist who sets every stage on fire with his energetic and crowd-pleasing performances. Since Ras’s younger days, growing up near the beaches of the Port of Hueneme, he’s had an affinity for singing and performing. From singing and break dancing on the streets for a few extra dollars to displaying his musical ability in school talent shows, Ras always kept his musical presence alive.

In 1997, he put together a small band named Small Axe and was given the honor of opening up for the legendary reggae band The Mighty Diamonds. Since ’97 Ras has put his stamp on the music scene as an urban Rasta creating original reggae music and giving high-energy performances. Ras sticks to the traditions of old-school reggae by coupling conscious lyrics with hard-hitting rhythms creating a modern day roots reggae. His positive music, as both a singer and songwriter, is a much-needed food for the masses, making Ras a great voice for today’s reggae music

Ras has been blessed to share the stage with highly recognized and legendary acts. He has toured through California, Hawaii, and the Eastern United States, hosting and headlining numerous festivals and concerts. Ras has been featured in the popular NorCal Magazine for the single “Feel Alright” with Junebug Slim and his song titled “Jah bless the Children” was the anthem for the Africa-Mix concerts series, a campaign for children with AIDS in Africa. He has released tracks with the Long Beach Rehab Project, which includes former members of Sublime, Bad Brains, and Smashmouth, one of the tracks being a dubstep remix of the classic hit “Smoke 2 Joints”. In December of 2014 Ras Rebel released his latest single, “Stronger,” on his upcoming single album.It is now available on iTunes and all major online distributors.
