Check out the Q&A with hip hop star 2 Chainz.

How did you get your original name Tity Boy? Tity Boy is actually a phrase we use in the south when you are an only child. Sine I am the one, my dad used to call me that. He’d call me Tity Boy.

Is it true you went to Alabama State?
Nope, that is not true. I don’t know why it said that on the Wikipedia but don’t believe anything on there haha.

How did you get your sense of fashion?
Being where I am from, we were really influenced by our dress and the way we presented ourselves. The dress code was really important to us. I was just being up to date and being myself at the same time, being unique.

Where do you get your sense of accessories and headwear?
My uncle wore a lot of jewelry and a lot gold chains. It was always something I was into and something that I loved. I wore messenger bags for the video to Duffle Bag Boy with Lil Wayne. They seemed like purses but it was something that we did that was unique and it worked out.

Tell me about your humorous sense in your music and funny punchlines.
I have always been quite funny especailly on my father side and my grandfather. It’s just a part of me. I want to be positive so why not. Why not put on a smile while I’m doing what I love. We just have that humor and sarcastic side and we want to keep things positive and flamboyant while we do our thing.

Do you ever want to start your own line or clothing?
I don’t want to right now, it’s not the right time. I take one thing at a time. I think artists tend to move too fast on stuff like that. It’s just not the time for that right now.

You are pretty good in terms with Kaney West and Good Music. What were some things you learned from that?
Kanye is the type that thinks 2 steps ahead, and not what the current situation is. I think that is a genuine character to have, and the future is important. I learned to think ahead of time, to think about the future.

Do you look at other artists swag and what they are up to?
I never pay attention to any other artists. I am all about myself at the moment. I can care less about what other people are doing, or wearing, that is not my concern.
