MC Rail’O, A Better Me Tomorrow

MC Rail’O was born Jerrail Williams on April 24, 1897 in the rural community of Belvoir, NC. This small-town Hip Hop artist attended Belvoir Elementary, Wellcome Middle School, and North Pitt High School where he developed a love for music; a desire for the unknown and an appreciation for education. As a small child, Rail’O competed in numerous talent competitions but did not truly develop his appreciation for music until he discovered his love of poetry. Rail’O became aware of poetry in high school and used poetry as an escape.

On days when he needed a way to express himself, he sought a pen and pad and relayed his thoughts through verse. Poetry opened a serenity door for him and became a gateway for his appreciation of music and the application of lyrics. Rail’O did not start recording and taking music seriously until the summer of 2010 and since then he has not looked back. Others have recognized his commitment and the pursuit of his passion and have nominated him for the 2014 C.A.R.E. Awards’ Artist of the Year and the 2014 Greenville Grammy’s Artist of the Year.

Rail’O believes in leading by examples, so he worked hard while pursuing a secondary education and graduated from Miller-Motte College in the Fall of 2014 with a degree in Network Administration & Security. He pushes himself to the limit to be an example to those who are watching, but challenges himself to be better tomorrow than he was yesterday.
