Lucid, Inspiring For Years To Come

Lucid, born in 1991 and raised in Kodiak, Alaska, started playing snare drum in the elementary school band in 6th grade and later that year learned to play the drum set for a talent show. He only joined band because he thought it would be easy and wanted to get out of other classes. It was around this time that Lucid began rapping, but he didn’t start taking it seriously until around the age of 17. In 2009 Lucid began to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied drums and film scoring, but stopped attending in 2011 to peruse a career in drumming while continuing to craft his sound in hip-hop on the side.

In 2014 Lucid moved to Las Vegas where he continued to peruse hip-hop full time. His lyrics include elements of dreams, nightmares, conspiracy theories, corruption, philosophy, and poetry. Lucid draws inspiration from all styles of music, ways of life, and methods of movement that he respects (martial arts, painting, swimming, dancing, etc.) He plans to keep improving consistently as an artist and hopes to continue making hip-hop that inspires people for years to come.
