KZ, Champion

Samuel Elijah Johnson, KZ, is a legendary rap/hip hop/songwriter/lyricist from Pensacola, FL who was born and raised in the rough projects of Escambia Arms. Left with very little options in surviving the everyday struggles of hood life, it was faith and a stern mother who work hard and who kept him in line. He survived those tough circumstances as he got older and used those values and determination to mold him into the artist/person he’s today.

Within a 5 month in 2015 span KZ was the 2-time 1st place national best song winner, a top 10 finalist of National 16bars completion, and a semi-finalist in the Unsigned Hype National Competition 2015. As the winner of the best song competition, he collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the song titled “No Peace.” Furthermore he’s participated in B.E T. Freestyle Friday (2013), had a feature on HOT 97 Who’s Next Website, has 15 magazine features, and even had Floyd Mayweather listen to his tribute track titled “Champion.”

On tap for a May 2016 release is the album titled History In The Making (The Album). Additional projects include the EDM remix of “No Peace” with Pyramid Scheme, a new single titled “On Flex” that’s produced by Evil G, and Block Burnaz Vol 1 (The Mixtape) releasing August 2016. KZ’s goal is to take his talents and underground accomplishments and apply them to the mainstream industry to excel beyond expectation. Along his journey he want to share his music and help inspire and motivate future stars and artists.
