Josh Marks Drops His Mixtape ‘StraightJacket’

Josh Marks’ starting to make himself known in the professional recording and music industry. Through his dedication to music, the diligent artist is leaving a stamp with cutting edge songs and lyrics. As a music artist as well as an entrepreneur, don’t be surprised to see Josh Marks in the biggest publications. Only highlight reel type of work can be expected moving forward from this emerging artist.

“I am from Harlem, New York and am part of an art collective called Slack Tribe. My influences are mostly old school artists: Lauryn Hill, Andre 3000, Big L, a lot of Eminem’s old works, and definitely Rakim. I just released my second mixtape called StraightJacket which I am extremely proud of. I’ve been working on that tape since I was 18, so being able to finally put it out at 21 years old is a great feeling,” Josh Marks reveals.

Upcoming for this emerging artist is a show in April at Shea Stadium in Brooklyn along with other artists in a small team he’s a part of called DPI. He’s currently in the process of fleshing out his third tape and is trying to decide on the sound, themes, and vibes he wants for the project. Josh Marks’ goals for this year are to release at least three music videos while continuing to get paid for performances.
