Hot-One, Koolin


Patterson, New Jersey born Hot-One grew up in the projects of Buffalo with a single mother and four siblings. From an early age he took on a liking for 90s artists such as DMX, The Lox, Mos Def, Nas, Linkin Park, 2Pac, Biggie, and Big Pun. His updated listing on favorite artists include modern names like J. Cole, Joyner Lucas, Mac Miller, Drake, and Game. It was at the age of 13 that he began rapping as a form of self-expression and at 16 he upped his craft a notch.

In 2007 Hot-One completed his first mixtape titled Hydro Studios Vol. 1 which featured a lot of 716 artists, r&b artists, and Latin artists. He’s continued to push his career forward by being influenced by the birth of a child, winning two local contests, and releasing his 2nd mixtape titled Alcohol Rehab.

In 2015 Hot-One began work on his latest mixtape titled Koolin which has production by J-rugged, Lastdays, Kiddyno, MJnichols, and many more. His focus on the project leans towards the hip hop/rap genre, having fun, and the telling of true events and real life experiences. He recently released the music video for feature single titled after the name of the mixtape. The follow up video will for the Benjibeats produced track titled “Flyin Highhhh.”
