Heinrich Maneuver™


John Heinrich is an exceptionally gifted multi-instrumentalist. His lifelong dedication to music and his craft has allowed him to excel exciting fans and peers alike. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he came to Nashville in 1985 after several years living abroad employed as a working musician. In Nashville he is a highly respected session player, teacher, and an in demand performer working comfortably in literally every genre that comes his way. A stunning soloist on pedal steel guitar, saxophone, and flute, he is also an in demand utility musician who also plays bass, dobro, and clarinet.

His talent allows him to move effortlessly from country music to jazz and from rock to big band staying true to the roots and style of each. John is a member of Local 257, The Nashville Association of Musicians. John is the steam behind his ongoing project entitled Heinrich Maneuver™ which showcases his talents as well as other songwriters and artists. New CD project coming this August.

  • Studio work on recordings with T.G. Sheppard and Tommy Overstreet and Stella Parton
  • Member of Horn section performing with Barry Gibb in Hollywood, FL
  • Horn section leader and saxophonist on shows with Percy Sledge
  • Recorded saxophone for producer Jack Clement on Louis Armstrong tracks that Jack had cut on Louis before his death
  • Performances at Summer NAMM showcasing Morrell Lap Steel guitars and Steel Guitar demonstrations at the Country Music Hall of Fame
  • Steel guitar recordings on projects featuring Merle Haggard, George Jones, Glen Campbell and Crystal Gayle
  • Work as producer and co producer on master sessions in Nashville, TN
