Gods Illest Joe, Quality Over Quantity

Joseph Rivera, Gods Illest Joe, has been working hard at branding himself and the name Gods Illest Joe since 2010. He has performed in the cities of Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Rochester, and NYC in a number of events, shows, and festivals. He was also presented with an opportunity to record in Philadelphia for Young Jeezy’s DJ, DJ Fahrenheit, and was picked to participate in season 2 of “Making The Next Hit” series in 2011. Joe has done everything from performing at the 2012 Puerto Rican Festival in Buffalo, NY and in the 2014 Hard Rock Rising competition presented by Reverbnation at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, NY to rocking out shows in front of executives and reps from RocNation, Def Jam, BET Networks, and Desert Storm.
Among other accomplishments, Joe has opened up for acts such as platinum selling hip Hop artist Cassidy and rap artist Jae Millz (who is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label). He was nominated for an independent artist award in 2012 for Best Music Video. Additionally he was the winner of the 2011 Best Out of Town Artist award in the 2011 Indie Elite Artist Awards presented by Indie Elite Promotions. Joe has also been featured on 103.9 WDKX, PaperChaserDotCom.com, GetMoneyMusic.com, a variety of independent mixtapes as well as Coast2Coast mixtapes and magazine.
Joe has invested in himself via merchandise and a website. His music is available on all major digital outlets and more. With Joe, it’s all about quality over quantity. He’d rather give you 10 dope records, than give you a 100 mediocre songs. His aim is to reach out and grow his fan base and create a buzz. He has a pretty heavy follow from the Middle East and the country of Brazil.
