GangaLee Is Solidifying Herself As A Top Female Emcee

With a knack for music, GangaLee (pronounced Gong-a-Lee) is building a repertoire for herself in the industry. Boasting a pioneering sound along with a dynamic stage presence, this artist’s music is turning eyes and ears. This is one artist that you’ll want to keep up with and follow her career. High impact moves are being made by GangaLee, and it won’t be long before she’s a household name.

This Jamaican born and Bronx, NY raised artist tries to incorporate all of her into her musical style. “What I mean is I try to fuse my Jamaican culture with my hip hop rhymes, and when you see it all put together live on stage it’s like a rock show,” GangaLee explains. Early on in her career, her track “The Jam” was licensed MTV for a reality show about the powerful PR Lizzie Grubman. In 2010 her music video “Opulence,” shot and directed by Samuel Rogers, was in heavy rotation on various video music shows including NY’s famous Video Music Box where Ralph McDaniels broke the video first.

Further adding to her recognition, in 2013 she ranked #9 in the Top 100 Artists to watch in the Tampa Bay Area per Tampa Bay Times. Now GangaLee owns a recording studio in Florida and runs an up and coming indie record label named DOE Records. Most recent she dropped a mixtape titled They Swear It’s One Better. This is just the icebreaker to the upcoming album.
