Dan Sweet, A Record Label For One Hit Wonders

Dan Sweet’s musical life began at the age of 13 when he began spinning 12 inch records. Interestingly enough at 19 he played Ken doll for Mattel Canada’s 30th anniversary. As a collector of tarot cards for over 15 years, he’s deciding whether to publish a book on the subject.

Sweet is no stranger to celebrities. He’s worked with Faye Dunaway on the Canadian TV program titled Road to Avonlea and became friends with Alanis Morissette while working as a fashion editor and music writer for a local paper. He was swept under the rug by Alanis herself while backstage at the opening leg of her Jagged Little Pill tour in Montreal. Sweet feels the some of her early 80’s material could be directed at him as well as some of her more current music.

Sweet would like to launch a new small record label of licensed one hit wonders from the 80s to the present.
