Cap Hill, Searching For Somewhere

Cap Hill is a 25 year old multi-genre artist/producer from southeast Washington, DC who’s always had a lot to say; very opinionated. Where he’s from, Hip Hop was the language of his people; wanting to be accepted by them he learned to speak it fluently. Cap Hill’s older brother got him into it and before long he was doing shows with major acts, traveling for gigs, and even performing on BET’s 106th & Park.

Cap Hill was inspired by The Fugees, Outkast, Tupac, Eminem, and Method Man but it didn’t just stop at Hip Hop. He wanted to be Kurt Cobain, Marvin Gaye, John Lennon, and Blink 182 all rolled up into one. Cap Hill has been mastering his craft for about a decade now, but has only just recently found his own style.

Thanks to all the work Cap Hill has been putting in with Ryan Mitchell at Redline Records and B Dolla at Indie Media Lab, his music is really starting to take off. He’s been fortunate to collaborate and perform with various artists from all over. Now he has an upcoming LP entitled “Searching For Somewhere” set to drop early June. Cap Hill released his first single, “Be Somebody,” recently and it has already been making waves on Soundcloud. People have been rallying behind him. Cap Hill is fortunate, determined, hungry, and just really excited for the near future.
