Zeal Static, The Exposure I Deserve

Zeal Static is not your average rapper, you can say he’s cut from a different cloth. Zeal Static was born in Fiji and lived there for half of his life with his family, but due to changing circumstances migrated to Australia where he spent the other half. Music was the last thing to cross his mind, but that all changed in Australia. This is where he was exposed to the various forms of entertainment. For Zeal Static Hip-Hop was a journey where he travelled back in time listening to rappers like Ice Cube, Tupac, Snoop Dogg ,and several others.

In 2010 he released his first mixtape album which was hosted by Australia’a number one urban DJ, DJ Nino Brown. The release was a stepping stone for Static to gain exposure and recognition in the scene. By the end of 2010 he released his first single, “Wat U Thinkin,” for which he did a release tour in Fiji that was sponsored by Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (the head of Fiji’s national radio stations) and received radio play for up 3 weeks. He also performed at The Traps Bar in Suva, Fiji’s Capital.

From time to time Static would feature on mixtape albums hosted by major artists such as Krazyie Bone, Hussein Fatal, and Treach from Naughty By Nature. He released a second single in late 2013 titled “Dreams And Wishes” featuring R&B singer Terence Kritical on the hook and shot a video to accompany this track. Static gained an opportunity to perform in front of thousands of patrons at Melbourne Exhibition for The Good Friday Appeal which is held every year in support of the Royal Children’s Hospital. Currently Static is working on his first EP release and another single which will undoubtedly expose his talent to the main stream and give him the exposure that he well deserves.
