YunG ThrillA, None Like My Style

South Carolina native, formally known as Ja’Vante Simmons, YunG ThrillA grew up in Columbia, SC. He attended Blythewood High School, played football, ran track, and wrestled. After high School YunG ThrillA got accepted to Coastal Carolina University where he walked on to their football team as a freshman cornerback. Along with classmates, YunG ThrillA started a group named Cloud9 after being exposed to freestyling every day. He was first featured on a track named “Pop It” and he realized that he was a better writer than freestyler.

After YunG ThrillA’s first track the group made two more songs then split. He went solo and started recording, mixing, and mastering himself. He became his own engineer after buying equipment and dropped a mixtape titled “My World The Rise” in 2012. With his brothers Trigga Tre and KelleyBoii, they dropped a mixtape titled “Tru Stories” and formed a group known as MTOD (Money Team Or Die).

Since then YunG ThrillA has been perfecting his craft, working on his image, and making a name and sound for himself. No sound is like his sound, no style is like his style. YunG ThrillA is different.
