Having discovered his passion for music at a young age, Long Island born, 23 year old rapper/singer/songwriter Young Izz (born October 1, 1991) is primarily involved in Hip Hop and R&B but his musical versatility gives him the ability to excel in any genre. During his youth he credits Nas, LL Cool J, Tupac, Biggie, and Slick Rick as some of his influences. As he entered middle school he had already been writing lyrics with the assistance of his father and soon after developed the ability to write on his own. Further inspiring his writing process were Eminem, DMX, Jay Z, and Outkast leading to his first ever mixtape titled “Just Izze” which gained him popularity amongst his peers.

During his senior year of high school Izz entered his school’s singing contest titled “Hills Idol” where we made it to the finals ultimately not winning; still he went on to perform in front of a packed gym filled with hundreds of students and faculty at his school’s pep rally. That same year (2009) he founded $tr8Bizz, an independent music brand, at the age of 18. After graduating from high school Izz made his way into to college. In late 2009 he realized that college wasn’t working out for him the way he expected and eventually dropped out of The Institute of Audio Research. Since then Izz has put out 3 full projects to add to his music collection.

In 2012 Izz released his first official mixtape titled “Chosen One” followed by the 2013 release of “Welcome To My Pain.” In 2014 he released “X-Files: Confidential” which is available on DatPiff and SoundCloud. Izz is an experienced performer who has performed at various venues such as the Amityville Music Hall & Tavern, Revolution Bar & Music Hall, O’Brien’s, Santos Party House, and more. Today he is working on his first album titled “Self Portrait” which has no release date. This year he released an original single titled “Never Changed” and recently made a collaborative project with up and coming artist JUS titled “Million Dolla Chicka” which features himself and K-Black.
