Ty Gemani Returns As CEO Of IOKA Films/Entertainment LLC After Hiatus

When it comes to being musically inclined, Tennessee’s Ty Gemani (pronounced Tie Gemini) is not a new person in the recording business and has made a name for himself. From innovative and vanguard lyrics to overall performance and style, the music is speaking for itself. Don’t sleep on Gemani because the musician and entrepreneur might just have something up their sleeve that is purely unexpected.

Gemani began rapping at age 4 and won a total of seven talent shows by age 13. He began writing his own lyrics with friends and eventually formed their group C.O.S. (Chiefs of Staff). The group released their first mixtape titled SouthMemphis in the summer of 2003 when he was only 18 years old and fresh out of high school. He went on to release his first solo project My Pain followed by Talk Less, Listen More while in college in Atlanta where he received notable recognition around campus.

After a 7 year hiatus due to the stress of the business and personal issues, Gemani has returned not only as a stronger lyrically inclined artist but as the CEO of his own label IOKA Films/Entertainment LLC (IFE). He’s set to release his new mixtape Exclusive Newz 2.0 this summer and his debut album titled The Lyfe N Rhymez of Ty Gemani in the fall. His new single “For My Hood” featuring New Orleans rapper and former Lil Jon’s BME artist Chyna Whyte is now playing on Jango Radio and also available for download on Soundcloud and iTunes.
