“I started writing hip hop in my high school auditorium. My homie was sitting next to me during a school assembly writing away. I asked, ‘What you doing?’ He said, ‘Writing a rap.’ I said, ‘I can do that, gimme some paper.’ As they say a star was born. Since I’ve been driven by my belief in the culture of hip-hop and the therapy the music provides,” the Buffalo, NY artist points out. Speedie Da Icon has taken his philosophy to heart and music has kept him from drowning in his emotions because he lays it all out on beat.
