SoulTronik, True To The Craft

SoulTronik was raised on Long Island, New York and grew up in a household where music was always playing; Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole on behalf of his grandmother. But it was his father that sparked the interest in music being that he was a DJ and SoulTronik would listen to him practice new mixes. As he got older, he found himself more interested in the actual instrumentation of the song rather than the lyrics.

During SoulTronik’s senior year of high school he bought Freeway’s first album, “Philadelphia Freeway,” finding the beats Just Blaze made on that album ridiculous. It was at that point that he decided he wanted to make music. He hasn’t looked back since the purchase of Fruityloops 4. SoulTronik has met platinum producers that like his work and competed in many producer showcases (BLAP Producer Showcase and iStandard Producer Showcase). In 2014 SoulTronik won the Next Great Dynamic Producer Online Showcase.

SoulTronik’s influences are Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Q-Tip, Just Blaze, Kanye West, and Bink! He just wants to make good Hip Hop, stay true to the craft, and most importantly stay true to himself.
