Realign Your Mind With Numa

rude boy magazine

Numa is a Hip Hop/Electronic Producer, Sound Engineer, and Musician from Sacramento, CA. His passion for music comes from a number of sources, including but not limited to; his grandmother’s soul and jazz albums, his mother’s R&B and pop, and dad’s hip hop/rap. He was plunged into a wide range of sound at an early age from Boney James and BoyzIIMen, to ATCQ and Pac, which allowed him to accept different genres of music in order to be able to create his own. He started off as a drummer in his preadolescent years and picked up the guitar and keyboard along the way. In his junior year in high school, Numa was introduced to the beat making world, diving into the “Hyphy” sound that made its way up from the Bay Area. But after a while, he began to lose confidence in his music due to critiques from family and friends, which ultimately gave him the motivation he needed to push harder with his music. Thanks to influences like Pete Rock, Nujabes, J Dilla, and 9th Wonder, over the years Numa’s sound has evolved to create intricate works of art.
