Nitty Ave, The Ave Is Hot

Nitty promo

Growing up in the grittiest part of Brooklyn experiencing the street life was inevitable. Incarceration and loss was the product of violence on every corner, but for Kenneth Melendez, Nitty Ave, the ups and downs were his platform pushing the young rapper to keep his music in perspective and growing. In 2008 after serving a 3 year sentence in upstate New York, he hit the music harder than ever releasing singles Just Came Home and Get Ready that were featured on the More Better mixtape. He’s performed at The Bowery Poetry Club, The 40 C’s, The Public Assembly, and The Bar 13. He’s also appeared on several underground radio stations such as East New York Radio hosted by the legendary DJ PF Cuttin.

With his music gaining buzz throughout the underground circuit, Nitty Ave connected with New Yitty and Papers from East New York Radio to shoot his first video 1 16 with G.M.R. With a solid buzz from the video, he kept the vibe growing by releasing his next banger I’m So New York, I’m So B.K. with Don Ron which reached #1 on the top ten hit list going strong for 8 weeks. Nitty Ave continued to grind and record soon linking up with JR Writer and the Thundabyrds. The collaborations were just beginning and he soon released Thunda featuring Fred Money, What You Playing 4 featuring JR Writer, and Exclusive 16 with Boston’s own K-Mafia and JR Writer.

In 2012 Nitty Ave experienced loss that would put his music on pause. With the passing of his mother, life for him went blank; however, through dealing with the loss he was able to gain strength and channel the emotions back into the booth doing what he does best. He landed features with rap partner Dollabill Da Boss with Everyday and another with Fred Money and Dave East. There is no question that Nitty Ave is made for this industry. And with his smooth approach and word play, it’s guaranteed the people anticipating The Ave is Hot (distributed by Versitile Entertainment) will not be disappointed.
