The newest pop artist from San Jose, CA is bringing back that 90’s style hip hop flavor in the lines of Heavy D. of Uptown Records. “I’ve been performing cover and original tracks for over 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m most known for being the lead vocalist of the Blues Stew Band which has performed at local venues and festivals for over 5 years from 2005 to 2010 in mostly Santa Clara County,” Mr. Smooth replies when asked about his career. After a hiatus between 2010 – 2014, he returned to the stage and 2016 found a new music direction to pursue.

His most recent release titled From Where It All Started, “The Rebirth Of Mr. Smooth” is an EP that’s a fusion of pop and reggae that’s inspired by Heady D. The first two singles, “It’s Sunset In Pismo” and “I Ain’t Lit, I’m Plugged In Mon” featuring Fashion, have been getting extremely positive reviews. Following this release Mr. Smooth is expected to release his second EP titled Imma Wax That Ass: The Mr. Smooth Grown & Sexy in 2017.
