MohamedX, Dxrty Dozen

MohamedX (the X is silent) is a hip hop artist and producer from the San Francisco Bay Area and representing San Jose. His parents immigrated to the United States from West Africa’s Sierra Leone. Born to a single mother who raised him on her own, MohamedX used music as a way to express his feelings. He was mad at his dad, mad at school, and mad at the world. He first started rapping around the age of 10 donning the stage name Blackheart and released two albums in high school titled In The Dark and Regenesis.

In college he became The Prof!t and dropped two more bodies of work, Rev!val and Casa Negro. He finally decided to settle on MohamedX with no relation to Malcolm. His musical influences growing up were Nas, Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and favorite rapper Eminem. He also has to give props to Michael Jackson. MohamedX used to moonwalk his ass off when he was a kid.

MohamedX played college football at San Jose State University and signed to the San Diego Chargers after college. After he stopped playing ball he decided to go back to his first love of music. His newest album Dxrty Dozen is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and wherever digital music is sold. So go cop it.
