Mesha, Neo Soul Infused With Hip-Hop

Mesha is a native of Dallas, Texas who found her love for music as a kid when her aunt, a well known gospel musician in the Dallas area, would take her with her to the music workshops she lead at different local churches. All through adolescents and her teenage years Mesha was surrounded by music growing up with the likes of Shawn Martin, producer for Kirk Franklin and RC Williams of the band Gritz. Her vocal and musical style has been liken to award winners Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Faith Evans, and Lauryn Hill. Her music has been described as Neo Soul/R&B with a touch of Hip-Hop.

As an adult Mesha’s love for music never falter and in 2011 she released her debut album “Love Roller Coaster.” Her continued journey of building her name as a local artist in the Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex has allowed her to work with many up and coming artists such as Dallas’ Blaq Dior to Atlanta’s Blak Jak, as well as some of the hottest up and coming producers making a name for themselves such as Mista E and Twenty of CreamTeam Music.

Mesha’s singles “Love the Way” and “Busta” from her debut album are currently in rotation on internet radio stations and Recently Mesha completed her follow up studio EP that was produced by Mista E who has produced for national recording artists Lil Boosie, Lil KeKe, Big Chief, Tum Tum, T Cash, and a host of others. She’s currently the headliner of her own monthly live music event held at Muddy Waters, a local venue in the Dallas area.
