Mano Juvane, C.R.E.A.M. City

Former atheist turned urban missionary emcee, Mano Juvane dedicates his life to using his Hip Hop and poetry talent to spread the message of God’s love. A look into his life story and ministry reveals the authenticity of God’s grace and life changing power which pulled him out of a lifestyle of total darkness and now reflects itself through his in your face Rap lyrics and lifestyle. Mano was born in Maputo Mozambique on May 6, 1987 but lived 5 years of his childhood in the USA with his parents and older brother. Growing up in a good home he was your typical well-mannered boy who any parent would be proud of.

A storm suddenly hit him, Mano lost his father at the age of 12. The trauma and pain he faced from the loss, as well as the dramatic and life threatening family feuds that followed, caused him to find refuge in a lifestyle of excessive alcohol consumption, promiscuity, violence, and rebellion. Growing up in the absence of an exemplary male figure, most of Mano’s role models were mainstream Hip Hop stars such as The Notorious B.I.G., Big Punisher, and Necro.

The negative influence that surrounded Mano in his teens began to reflect itself through his grades and conduct at school, and his rebellious attitude towards his mother. The turning point occurred after he became a Christian at the age of 20. On September 26, 2014 he released his ground breaking debut album “Royal Touchdown” which was nominated for Best Gospel Rap album at the SABC Crown Gospel Awards. On September 4, 2015 he will be releasing his 5 track “C.R.E.A.M. City” EP at Liberty Church Discovery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
