Louiz Rip, Joe Average

Louiz Rip stands big in stature at 6’5″, has a big in lyrical ability making him one of Kansas City’s best, and big in personality. He has opened for The Cool Kids, Nappy Roots, Joell Ortiz, Killah Priest, N.E.R.D., and most recently, for a second time, Talib Kweli, who personally handpicked his single “End of the Free World” for his 2010 mixtape The Year of The Blacksmith Community mixtape.

You would think with all that going for Louiz Rip he would be a household name at this point, well, not so much. While he is known and well respected for his b-ballish build, mic skills, and sense of humor, he still finds himself virtually unknown on a broader scale. His new album Joe Average hopes to change that. Despite being a tall comedian, Louiz still proves that it’s his lyrical ability that towers over the competition.
