Born in 1991 on November 20th as Daniel Ayala, Legion X, was raised in La Mesa, CA. Raised by a single mother who entered the U.S. illegally with 4 other siblings and with little to no household income, he would have to learn how to hustle anything he could to try and get ahead in life. Finding nothing but dead ends running in the streets, Legion X soon found peace in mind through music and art. His inspirations range from artists such as Rage against the Machine, Eminem, and System of a Down. He would then come to adopt the name Legion X as a reminder to all the people who helped him become who he is today.

It is very clear listening to his lyrics or watching his stage performances how he feels toward politics and the status quo. Legion X’s style would evolve to what he later called psychosis rap challenging all his listeners to question religion, existence, and politics until those questions are solved. Components not Opponents, We are Legion We are One. He has opened up for major acts such as Super Natural and Planet Asia in 2015 and in 2014 he opened up for Krumb Snatcha, Sean Price, and Apollo Brown.

Now part of Mezzamind Music under one of the main artists on the roster, Legion X is on a steady rise. On March 18 – 20, 2016 he performed at his 1st festival called Eternal in Jucumba Hot Springs. In 2016 he’s slated to drop the EP titled Practicalities that’s produced by Peter Lansford. His current body of work is the solo album titled 10-51. Legion X hopes to reach a greater audience in hopes to start touring around the U.S. toward the end of 2016.
