KY, Turn The City Up

Kyle Martinez also known as KY is a young hip-hop artist from Casa Grande, Arizona. The first rap he ever wrote was when he was 13 in the county juvenile detention center. When KY turned 17 he started to take the rap a little more serious, looking at it as a positive outlet. Shortly after KY turned 17 he caught a charge and was in ADJC (Arizona Department Of Juvenile Corrections) for 5 months. During that time KY put all his time in trying to better his skills.

When he was released from ADJC in June, 2012, KY started to hang out with his older cousins that he hasn’t hung out with for a few years who also rapped. And that’s when KY was accepted to be a part of YPC, a click formed by KY’s cousins’ B’nett and Turo.

And from there he has perfected his flow and has been trying to “turn the city up.” Coming from a small city, KY has very big dreams. His First mixtape “Hunnid Roundz” doesn’t have an official release date but expected in 2015. This article is the first time he announced the name of the mixtape.
