Jean Albert Renaud, Project Arrowhead

August 2015 Akademia Award winner for best Country/Folk song Horse, Jean Albert Renaud (JAR) is a SAG member with film/tv credits such as Treme, The Wire, Ladder 49, The Cosby Show, From Nowhere To Everywhere Through The Eyes Of The Horse, Free Spirits-Saving America’s Wild Horses, and more. JAR uses his skills as an equestrian, music producer, and former Motown artist to help raise awareness around human rights issues. Honored and award recipient in 2013 he plans to promote his program throughout the United States.

JAR will further develop Project Arrowhead which combines equine therapy with an awareness program to educate youth about the risks of HIV infection. The project uses proven strategies from equine therapy to develop a sense of self-efficacy and acceptance, impulse modulation, and social skills building. Through his music and his horsemanship, JAR is proving age is not a barrier when it comes to changing a person’s life. He starts with one horse and one child at a time to make this world a better place. A percentage from sales from concerts, speaking engagements, merchandise, and music helps to provide the funding that ensures the program’s success for years to come.

JAR’s award winning song Horse will be featured in the documentary Jar – Journey of a Horseman directed by Brian Barber. Horse along with Mustang hit #10 on the Country charts worldwide. Additional accolades include nominations in 6 categories for the IMEA (International Music and Entertainment Association) Awards (2014) including album of the year, artist of the year, entertainer of the year, music video of the year (Choices), song of the year (The Way You Look At Me), and songwriter of the year. His music and message has spread beyond the United States and has reached across the world and ads are regulars on major brands such as Billboard, MTV, YouTube, and Rolling Stone.
