Isaiah, This Is Me

Isaiah was born on April 30 1984 and as an infant moved back and forth between Cleveland and Chicago until settling in Chicago’s Northwest side. After high school he spent 6 years in the U.S Army serving 2 tours in Iraq’s deadly Sunni Triangle and Diyala province all the while developing his skill and passion for music. He even landed a song, Movin On, on a military record label called To the Fallen.

Isaiah reverently gives credit for his musical prowess in the Rap genre to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony who he proclaims are the epitome of rap styles and is his greatest influence. However, he also cites great admiration for acts such as The Roots, Wu Tang Clan, Grave Diggaz, Onyx, Mos Def, and many more.

Isaiah’s debut album, This Is Me, is the portrait of a middle aged middle class American man coming to terms with his identity as a man and as an artist; it’s an attempt at reconciling two facets of a personality. This Is Me is slated to release in May of 2016.
