Hoodfellas: Once You Listen, You’ll Know Them

Hoodfellas’ are starting to make themselves known in the professional recording and music industry. Through their dedication to music, the diligent artists are leaving a stamp with cutting edge songs and lyrics. As music artists as well as entrepreneurs, don’t be surprised to see the Hoodfellas in the biggest publications. Only highlight reel type of work can be expected moving forward from this emerging group.

The trio that was birthed in Lynn, MA is composed of Skee, JDee, and Tray Cook who started writing rhymes at 12 years old and have been taking their craft seriously for over a decade. Unlike most artists they take pride in their genuine approach when it comes to music, once you’ve listened to Hoodfellas’ catalog you feel like you know them. Their music offers a relatable atmosphere that many listeners, and artists, admire.

Hoodfellas were featured on 50 Cent’s thisis50.com website in 2012 for their mixtape titled The Rude Awakening that was hosted by Jack Thriller (G-Units Comedian) and featured G-Unit’s own Kidd Kidd. Since then they have been progressing with the debut of a web series titled A Day In The Life of Hoodfellas. They’ve also dropped three mixtapes in 2016: The Intermission, Showtime, and Riding Through The City. Much is expected in 2017 from this group including solo and group projects including Trey Cook’s Blue Dreams (May 31, 2017), JDee’s Return of the Real (June 30, 2017), and Skee’s They Slept On Me (July 31, 2017). An untitled group project will be dropped in September.
