G Precious, born Brenda M. Atencio in the small Native American community of Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico, began writing at the age of 6 and began putting her poetry to music at 11 when she was known as BMA Chill. It was at 16 when BMA Chill became G Precious and released her first underground mixtape titled Sangre de Preciosa (Blood of Precious). Being a young female Native American Hip Hop/Rap artist made it difficult for her to break into the music scene. Furthermore, several deaths of family members threatened to stop her talents.

It was years before G Precious returned to the studio and recorded and released her first official full album titled On My Shoulders which has several hits: Dear Lord (On My Shoulders), Her Love, Family, and I’m a Get My Piece (Peace) which was up for a Native American Music Award (NAMA) nomination in various categories. G Precious also released her 2nd mixtape that’s available on Datpiff titled Hip Hop & Hotdogs Vol. 1.

G Precious is currently working on her 2nd full album tentatively titled W.alk O.n W.ater (W.O.W.) which will be released late 2015 early 2016. G Precious’ music can be found at Reverbnation, Soundcloud, and on all major music outlets (iTunes, Amazon, etc.).
