Ehllis Vaughn, No Direction But Up

Ehllis Vaughn is a 22 year old suburban Hip Hop/Rap artist from Chicago, IL who started rapping at the age of 18 with his high school best friend Acely in a group called Cliche Music Group. In 2011 after graduating high school and moving on to college at Valparaiso University the pair split up and Ehllis went solo. During that time he dropped 2 projects, “Low Quality – High Definition” and “Yesterday’s Remembered,” while partnered with the clothing company Enliten.

Shortly after that in 2012 Ehllis dropped yet another 2 projects on DatPiff under the name Ex-Cell entitled “Once Upon A Rhyme” (self produced) and “The Ex-Pectation.” After getting little to no recognition form those two projects Ehllis entered a rap contest hosted by King Ice and landed a sponsorship with the Urban Jewelry Company. Since then Ehllis has landed another sponsorship with Desenvuelto Clothing, a German company, and has been signed to Canadian record label Scratchdown Records.

Ehllis has performed at local venues in Chicago, IL such as The Abbey Pub and The Black History Museum and has also opened up for Snack The Ripper and Merkules in London, ON at the Soundbar. Ehllis is a highly energetic and motivated artist dedicated to delivering nothing but the best music possible to his audience. For him there’s no other direction but up as he continues to push forward and make music to this day.
