Eegun’s Experience With A Band Elevated His Career

With lyricism and rhythm, London’s Eegun is making an impact in today’s music and entertainment world. The dedication’s no less than the best and putting in the effort to make it to the majors won’t be a surprise in this case. Don’t forget that when you hear Eegun on the airwaves nationally or even internationally that we predicted the success.

“My name is Eegun which means masquerade in the Yoruba language spoken in Nigeria, West Africa. I am an afrobeats and afro-pop artist. I used to be the front man for a 10 piece afro-funk band called Bronzehead till I left and started doing my own solo projects,” Eegun mentions. He refers to himself as the greatest storyteller alive and enjoys performing a lot. He was a semifinalist in an international songwriting competition in 2015 and performing alongside Jimmy Cliff at the Beautiful Days Festival in Suffolk, UK in 2014.

The confidence that Eegun has comes from playing with the band for years, an experience that elevated his career and taught him a lot about music. Most recent he release an EP titled The Awakening and he’s set to release a new single titled “Light It Up” from his follow up project. “I’m really excited about this new project because I tried something new with the emerging sound from London called afro-bashment, a sub-genre of afrobeats and am very confident this will be a summer hit,” he explains.
