“You can’t call yourself a certified king of anything if you don’t display leadership qualities that people can admire.”

Born Abdullah Al-Amin, Dula-Mite The King, was raised on the Eastside of Las Vegas on the infamous 28th Street (Da 8-Side). Growing up in a city known for their casinos and parties, the world was blind to the real realities of growing up in Sin City. It was all glitz and glam for tourists, but for locals they live the harsh reality of the temptations that the downtown and strip area can do to a household. Pimps, prostitutes, drugs, gangs, and alcohol abuse was their truth growing up. Behind the strip is where the real Las Vegas was for Dula-Mite and there was nothing to do but get into some mischief.

Dula-Mite began releasing music independently in 2006 with his debut single “Booty Doo” which sold over 7,000 hard copies in the streets. By 2007 he released his debut mixtape, “The Certified King of Las Vegas Vol. 1” with DJ Ophax & DJ Pimp. The highly acclaimed mixtape garnered many award nominations including 3 nominations at the 2008 Justo Mixtape Awards. From 2007 – 2012, Dula-Mite gained much recognition becoming multiple winning artists of the week on garageband.com, 2008 winner of American Idol Underground Rap Competition, and received a slew of nominations and awards. Dula-Mite has been an opening act for the likes of Gucci Mane, Tech N9ne, Murs, Spice 1, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Bobby Valentino, Camp Lo, One Be Lo, Red Cafe, Omarion, Bow Wow, & Slim Thug.

After 2013 Dula-Mite locked himself in a mental cave and took time off from releasing music in order to live life and find a new sound. It was during that time the “Blaxploitation” album came about. In April 2015 Dula-Mite made his return with the smash single “Turn My Bass Up II” featuring Amazin Jackson and Rideout, produced by Lght.Owl.Beats. Now that the public has finally gotten a glimpse of the talent Las Vegas offers ranging from Disco at the Panic, The Killers, Mr. Finley, Yowda, and Dizzy Wright, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before Dula-Mite gets his shot.
