Dado Prisco, Focused Around Music

Making music has to be done as a complete form, not only one genre, one style, or with only one way of making it. This is the foundation on which Dado Prisco has launched his musical career. Born on the island of Florianópolis, Brasil, where the summer months feel as though as Ibiza has found a holiday home, it’s understandable that Dado knew from a young age his future would be focused around music. Realizing that he couldn’t achieve his dreams without making sacrifices and doing things in his own way, Dado moved to London at 19 to study sound engineering at the illustrious Point Blank Music School. Away from the beach parties and the carnival atmospheres, Dado could witness the darker side of music: the 6am warehouse raves that London has to offer.

Once back in Florianópolis, Dado took the next step which has proved to be the turning point in his career launching Dado Prisco Studios. Spending the last six months of 2013 in the studio gave Dado the catalog of tracks he needed to introduce his music to the world. Early support came from the LouLou Records family with both Kolombo and LouLou Players releasing tracks on their compilations. In October 2014 Dado completed his first European tour featuring headline shows in both Glasgow and London, as well as playing the world renowned Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) Festival.

2015 is set to be even bigger with a catalog of tracks ready to be released on labels like House of Hustle, Noise Music, Sleazy Deep. In March Dado will again be touring for 2 weeks with shows confirmed across the UK and a chance to collaborate with some exciting talents from the UK scene. Besides producing, Dado has built his party label, Uncle Jack, hosting artists such as LouLou Players and Tapesh in Brazil.Add to that ventures in Glasgow featuring Hostage, and a London showcase of Belgian label Insane (Heartlybeats / Chad Tyson), Miami Sessions (Rod B / Blackbirdz), and Point Blank Music School.
