D-007, Turning It Up Louder


MC, griot, urban journalist, trend forecaster, and hip hop historian are just a few words that describe D-DUB who is now known as D-007. Hailing from South Side Jamaica Queens, NY, Demorne Warren, D-007, grew up in the 1980’s and 1990’s golden era of hip hop when he began to sharpen his skills at a young age. As a teen 2 friends and himself formed a trio called Exile. After a few years he became a solo artist. Shortly after meeting Queens producer Migz and Harlem producer Felix Nevarez, On Do For Self Entertainment was created. The team started recording songs in D&D studio which lead to a solid body of work. Their years working in D&D would lead D-DUB to be a featured artist on albums by Da BeatMinerz (Brace 4 Impak) on Rawkus Records and Krumb Snatcha’s Respect All Fear None single “Strike Back Closer.”

In 2006 D-DUB put out his first album titled The World According To D… on Do For Self Entertainment. Since then has been performing and promoting his music and appearing on a number of mixtapes, websites, and local TV shows including Coast 2 Coast, Datpiff, VladTV, Allhiphop.com, Spittin In Da Wip, and BuckTown USA to name a few. D-Dub is currently a featured artist on Raps United Nations Mixtapes Vol 1, 2, and 3 presented by Billy Danze of M.O.P. In 2014 D-Dub was featured on 2 songs on super producer Domingo’s album Same Game New Rules.

In 2016 with a renewed focus a new moniker, D-007, and label Do For Self Entertainment/We Build Hits listeners will be treated to more great music and finally his long awaited 2nd album. You can expect to hear some high quality hip hop as usual. “Many hip hop fans weren’t aware or they didn’t hear me the first time so we turning it up louder for them this time,” D-007 excitedly proclaims.
