Cuzzo, Next To Wear Hip Hop’s Coveted Crown

Great talent is needed to make the struggle to succeed seem effortless, but that is the gift that separates artists like Mississippi native Cuzzo from the everyday rapper. Born in Mississippi and raised in the rough streets of Chicago, he uses the musical styles of the Midwest and South as his influence. He found himself deeply in love with rap music finding inspiration from a vast array of artists. From the likes of Micheal Jackson, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, UGK, R Kelly, Twister, Do or Die, The Ghetto Boys, Master P, No Limit, The Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, and T.I.

Armed with charisma, strong delivery, and socially conscious lyrical content, Cuzzo has what it takes to become one of the most revered artists in rap. Cuzzo is dedicated to bringing social and economic issues back to hip hop. He states, “Hip hop today is so flashy, materialistic, and full of product placement. I’m not saying anything is wrong with that but what happened to rappers who spoke about how they were living in poverty and wanted to get out the rough situations that they were in.”

Cuzzo is currently working on his fourth mixtape release titled Grinding with a release date set for the first Quarter of 2016. Just like the title of his second mixtape, there is no doubt that he’s Halfway There to becoming one of the world’s next great superstars. With his old school 90’s feel of hip hop mixed with the fun, flashy, party, crunk, and hood feelings of the new school, his music is sure to take you on a roller coaster ride that will leave you wanting more.
