Corey Lizon, Hostile Society

Out the streets of North Hollywood in Los Angeles, California, American rapper, producer, engineer, athlete, aspiring clothing designer, and overall jack of all trades and multifaceted artist and future dominator of the rap game, Corey Stephon-Lizon Payne was born. Taking after his favorite artists, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, 50 Cent, MF DOOM and Lil Wayne, he has managed to orchestrate one of the most unique and authentic sounds Hip Hop has seen in a long time.

He leads the urban cult/collective Hostile Society which is a conglomerate of talented artists that apparently do everything from production and engineering to photography, videography, clothing design, and web design and somehow incorporate a beautifully eerie-dark vibe in almost everything they do.

Lizon was a star athlete in high school on his varsity basketball team and has even managed to break a couple of former NBA player, Gilbert Arenas’, scoring records attained when the former NBA All Star attended Ulysses S. Grant High School in the late 90’s. He was the San Fernando Valley Slam Dunk Contest Champion in 2009 and is top 10 in more than 5 statistical categories in his high school’s all time records and is in college playing currently. So we may even see him in the NBA sometime soon. Talk about a jack of all trades, he is also doing some of his own production along with mystical underground super-producer OCTAVIUS GRIM and the two have an album due sometime late 2015.

Having played classical and jazz instruments such as piano, saxophone, and guitar in his youth, Corey’s background in music is extremely eclectic and somewhat surprising. Not too many rappers with classical music in their background and this attribute is what probably makes him have such an original and memorable sound that definitely separates him from the pack and the mass amount of ‘rappers’ trying to come up.

Be on the look out for him to be all over your TV’s and radio’s very soon and be sure to check out his current projects, “WEEZON” and “Atlantis.” up for free download on his sound cloud page and on Datpiff. Also check out his music videos posted here on this page.
