Badshah x BKidd

In the spring of 2014, Badshah & BKidd met at the community gym where BKidd was working and began to discuss music. They instantly clicked and realized this meeting could not possibly be pure coincidence. Having achieved their own individual milestones, it only made sense that the young emcee and producer decided to work together on a joint project. In the space of a few short months they came out with BKidd’s breakout single “All Day” and are closing in on finishing an EP. The youths hope to bring a new dynamic to the New Zealand music industry before branching out overseas whilst staying true to their style of music.

Jay Ali, Badshah, 22, was raised in Vancouver, Canada and moved to Auckland, New Zealand at 10. Despite conscious Rap being his preferred niche, BKidd has shown his diversity in being able to make radio singles too. BKidd’s talent and drive was recognized by promotion giant Duco Events and the artist was approached to do a walkout song for NZ Heavyweight Boxing Champion Joseph Parker It’s safe to say that BKidd’s passion and work ethic is shaping the young artist into a force to be reckoned with.
