In 2007 YouTube was rocked with the release of sensational track The Struttawalk by A-Nice (Mr. PortaSpain) and dance partner C. Scholar, with production done by Atlanta super producer Teddy Bishop. Since then, the sky has been the limit for this diversified young Trinidadian star. Of all the songs he’s written, Don’t Hurt Em and Get Away are his favorites. A-Nice described Don’t Hurt Em as having “… a street/party feel to it. I love the way I flowed … the way I delivered and my cadence on the song, along with the way I rode the beat.”

A-Nice is the co-owner, creator, and producer of an internet broadcast talk show titled Lyme & Libations™. The show touches on juicy topics with an urban flair and offers a wide range of perspectives. However, his primary passion is his music. He’s traveled along the eastern seaboard performing and his music has hit the radio airwaves across the country; he’s even performed with headliners Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifah, Yung Berg, and Yung Joc. Whether he’s sharing life’s ills with Get Away, bringing everyone to their feet with Lodi Dodi, or bringing down the house with Don’t Hurt Em, A-Nice’s purpose is to motivate and inspire all listeners through his witty lyrics and heart-felt music.

When reflecting about the creation of aforementioned song Get Away, A-Nice recalls, “I don’t know what came over me when I wrote this song. When I heard the beat I instantly gravitated toward it. Everything that was going on in the world at the time and my frustration about what I was going through in my everyday life – the song was the perfect way to get all that off my chest. I knew when I made it that I had a banger there. That’s probably my favorite song. Everybody can relate and feel where I was coming from with this record. Everything was from the heart.”
